Stars, Stripes and SPARKLE!

Looking for a way to add a patriotic twist to your bling for the Fourth of July? Look no further!

Our Creative TEAM at Plate and Pattern has done it again...Here is an excerpt from Josh'd 4th of July BLING ideas from our Willow House Plate & Pattern site...(www.plateandpattern.com)

After getting inspired by Leslie's post on creating super-chunky necklaces, Kathleen and I raided the ribbon bins and the jewelry box and went to ChunkyTown! Check out our super-sparkly creations with just the right amount of flag-waving style!

Here, we used a wide red-and-white stripe ribbon to suspend two Julia Necklaces. The neutral gray agate gets a playful makeover from the playful patriotic ribbon.

This time, we invited the Phoebe Necklace to the party, and we simplified with a thinner, classic navy blue grosgrain ribbon.

Just because it's the Fourth of July, that doesn't mean you have to stick to American Flag red. We punched up the fun with this coral-infused red ribbon. Patriotic AND on-trend — you can't beat that!

Last but certainly not least, may we introduce the Triple Threat! One Harlow Necklace, plus two Julia Necklace equals massive style! The bright blue ribbon adds a fun pop of color. Now all you need is a neck brace!

No matter how you bling it up for the holiday, we wish you a fun and fabulous Fourth of July!

Beach Essentials!!

Shop N Go Totes:

They make the perfect beach bag because they are lightweight and dry quickly if they get wet. Fold up an extra one and throw it in for corralling your wet swimsuits and sandy sunscreen.

A lightweight Sunscreen with a high SPF:

They say sunscreen is the #1 anti-aging product you can use on your skin. Not to mention I have red hair — enough said.

Face and Body Wipes:

These are perfect at the end of the day for wiping off sweat, sunscreen and sand or if you just need a little skin refresher.

Tinted Lip-gloss with SPF:

I always feel prettier when I have a little color on my lip, especially if I’m going out. Just make sure it has an SPF because burned lips are pouty, NOT pretty.

Fabric Hair Ties:

I am addicted to these things. They tame my mane without leaving a hump or breaking off my hair. They also double as cute bracelets when you stack them on your wrists.

Hats:

The Fedora is so last season! The new must-have summer hat is the Panama Hat. It shields the sun off my face while keeping my frizzy beach hair in place.

Neutral Flip-Flops with a Little Bling:

I try to steer clear of the plastic flip-flop if I think I might be heading out after sunning. These are a little dressier and go with everything. These Tory Burch ones are a splurge, but so worth it.

Tunic:

A great Tunic can double as a cover-up or a dress. Choose lightweight cotton in a fabulous color like this one in Pantone’s color of the year — Tangerine tango!

A Little Bling:

I always keep some jewelry in my bag so that I can throw it on with my tunic and feel a little more dressed up for an afternoon out.

This is such a large, versatile piec. I do not use it for candles, I use it as a serving station, it's great for cupcakes, a bagel station, desserts, etc. You can use it in many rooms!

It is often too hot in AR for a fire but now I get to enjoy the look. this took me awhile to asemble but was not difficult. Nice, clean, substantial piece. I would recomend this to others.

This stand is so easy to put together and once again, is SO much sturdier and well-made than it looks---this seems to be a Willow House trait that I now expect. I myself didn't want to use it "inside" my fireplace, but against the windows on the outside front. To be safe with little fingers and little pomeranians, I opted for flameless candles and it's a TREAT when it's fully lit. That extra touch when you have company and you can turn them on and forget about it because its flameless! LOVE it.

This piece is much larger than it looks. Perfect for the fireplace and as a table centerpiece. Easy to change color palette with just a change of candles. I used it at Christmas with real pine around red candles - gorgeous!
